Monday!

Social 8 - Your collage was due today.  If  I have not yet received it, it will be late.  We took notes on economic pattern.  Both sets of questions are due your next class; 8-M are due tomorrow and 8-L this Thursday.

Creative Writing 20 - Your 5 paragraphs on your hunk are due our next class, which will be next Monday as we miss class for the Terry Fox Run on Friday.  So I expect all paragraphs to be done as we will be discussing and editing.

A reminder for Grade 11 Christian Ethics that your prayer booklets are due TOMORROW as well.

Monday and Wednesday

Monday

Monday was an interesting day.  It was FRESHIE DAY.  And I got "freshied" because I only came in January! Thanks Nicole and Alyx for the lovely outfit!

Miss Tilford is enjoying that fact that for the first time in 3 years she hasn't been freshied.

Social 7 - Ensure that you have finished the two sets of questions that I gave you.  These are found in your handout and the ones that you wrote in your notes from the board.
Social 8M - This was your final work class for you 'Public vs. Private' collage.  These are due Monday Sept 17.
Social 9 - We read ' What is a society?' and answered the questions I provided to you on the board.

Health 7 - We worked on our word search and answered the questions on our wellness inventory.

Christian Ethics 20 - A work class for your prayer booklet.  These are due Sept 18!

Wednesday

Social 8 - Current Events - You received an article titled 'Disaster Debris'  You were asked to answer the following sections 'On the Lines' (the questions), "Between the Lines' and the Crossword

Health 7 - Homework Check on your word search and started your to plot your points on your Wellness Inventory.
Health 8-L - You received half a class to work on your wellness wheel.  This will be due THIS FRIDAY (Sept 14th)

Christian Ethics 20 - this is your second last class to work on your Prayer Booklet.  You should have all of your passages and verses found today.  You will want to use your last class to put your booklet together and decorate it to the best of your abilities.  A reminder that your booklet is due TUESDAY SEPT 18!

First Week of School

Welcome Back Boys and Girls!

It has been an exciting week back at school.  We had a lot of things going on this week.  We had magazine kick off and freshie auction to name a couple.  I have to admit I am a bit nervous for Freshie Day to see what my Grade 11's have in store for me.

In terms of homework this week there is not much.

Social 7 - No homework
Social 8 - You will have another class to work on you collage, but keep your eye out over the weekend for private vs. public pictures/words.
Social 9 - Your Current Events article is due Friday Sept 14

Health 7 - No homework
Health 8 - You will have half a class to work on your wellness inventory.  Also make sure that your word search is done for next class!
Health 9 - You need to make sure that your word search is done for next class as there will be a homework check.

Christian Ethics 20 - We will continue to work on our Prayer Booklets.  Make sure you have your bible and your internet permission signed so that you can use the internet to develop the booklet.

Creative Writing 20 - No homework.  Jot down ideas in your idea book as you think of them.

And a reminder for the Senior Volleyball team that we will be practicing Monday from 3:30-5:30 and Tuesday from 4:30-6:30.

Also there will be a Soccer meeting on Monday at the beginning of lunch in my classroom.

Thursday/Friday

Grade 7 CE - Wrote Chapter 6 test
                    - Given time to work on Social review.

English 20 - Continued watching 'Dead Poet's Society' this will be continued Tomorrow as well with Mr. Bernier.

Social 8 - Handed out review for Final. If you were missing because of track please see me first thing on Monday morning.

As I will not be there tomorrow for Health 9 please complete your STI booklet by the end of class tomorrow to hand in.

Wednesday

Grade 7 Social - both classes worked on their reviews for the final exam. 

Grade 11 English - Macbeth Questions are due tomorrow!!

                             - Started watching Dead Poet's Society - worked on questions booklet.  If you have missed any part of the movie I am showing it again after school on Monday.  Please be in attendance as there will not be another time to catch up.

Grade 10 English - Grammar booklet: if you have not completed the booklet it is due on Thursday June 14. 

Reminder to Grade 7 Christian Ethics - You have your Chapter 6 test tomorrow.

Reminder to Grade 11 Christian Ethics - Your sexuality and the media partner project is due tomorrow.

Grade 9's continue to work on your STI health package, as these will be handed in at the end of class on Friday.

Monday

This am the students had a dress rehearsal for their band concert taking place on June 6 from 7:00-9:00

SS 7C - graphic organizers

SS 9 - correct current events and collect maps.

Provincial Track

Congratulations to the following students who made it to provincials and were very competitive with the other athletes in attendance.  Many of these girls reached personal records of themselves.

- Nicole Kriel who won a silver medal in Triple Jump
- Regan Hamel who won a bronze medal in High Jump
- Brenna Hamel who placed seventh in High Jump
- Kyarra Sumners-Daniels who placed eighth in Javelin
- Rebecca Jalbert who placed ninth in the Quad
